The Village of Bedford Park Water Department provides fresh Lake Michigan water to its residents and industry. We also have municipal customers and private utilities.

The Water Department facilities include four pumping stations and six concrete ground storage reservoirs totaling 22.5 million gallons of storage. The main pumping station is located at 6700 S. LeClaire Avenue. This station has a capacity of 100 million gallons per day. The second pumping station is located on Old Harlem Avenue and was built in 1992. It has a capacity of 20 million gallons per day. The third and also the main Water Department complex is located at 6700 S. Archer. This station has a capacity of 10 million gallons per day. The fourth station built in 1960 is located at Central Avenue. It is currently being replaced and will have a capacity of 40 million gallons per day.

The Bedford Park Water Department is always expanding with the future in mind. With the completion of construction at the new pumping facility on Central Avenue, the Village will be well equipped for many years to come. The Village of Bedford Park is an attractive system for future customers looking for an adequate, safe, and reliable Lake Michigan water supply.
